About the Film:

In a rural Hungarian town, on the eve of a wedding, two Orthodox Jewish men arrive bearing mysterious cargo. No one in town recognizes them, but their arrival triggers collective fear and guilt as the townsfolk face their complicity in expelling Jews from their town just months before. Stark, absorbing, and gorgeously filmed in black and white, 1945 is a critic and audience favorite, snagging awards at the San Francisco, Washington, Berlin, and Miami Jewish Film Festivals.
