About The Film

After their mother dies, three siblings uncover a shocking family secret that sets them off on a quirky journey to discover the truth.

Middle child Dorona (a standout Rotem Zissman-Cohen, A PLACE IN HEAVEN) is dealing with possible infertility and the damage that caused in her marriage to Ricki (Tashi Halavi, BETHLEHEM, SJFF 2014). Her older brother Netanel (Roy Assaf, GOD’S NEIGHBORS, SJFF 2013) has embraced Orthodoxy since his marriage, and her younger brother Shai (Assaf Ben-Shimon) is openly bisexual.

All their differences are put into perspective when their mother dies suddenly and the motley trio learns that the man they thought was their father (Sasson Gabai, GETT, SJFF 2015) may not be their biological dad. They decide to find answers on a journey from Israel to Paris and Marseille, laced with rivalry, romance, and revelations.

Writer-director Shemi Zarhin is a creative storyteller who explores the complicated nature of family dynamics and the longing for indisputable identity in an interesting and humorous way, reminding us that familial bonds can be both fragile and unbreakable.
