Returning to her Jewish grandmother's birthplace in India, author and director Sadia Shepard discovers the story of Bene Israel, a tiny Jewish community of 3,500 in and around Bombay. Shephard's colorful journey reconnects her with a group of Jews who believe they are descended from one of the lost tribes of Israel, shipwrecked in India 2,000 years ago.
