The remarkable life of Hank Greenspun is chronicled in the documentary WHERE I STAND. From Brooklyn kid to charismatic "give em' hell" newspaperman and real-life Zelig, Greenspun seemed to be on the winning side of every battle. The outspoken Greenspun ran guns to the new state of Israel, stood up against Joseph McCarthy, recruited Howard Hughes to buy out the Vegas mob, ended segregation on the Vegas strip and protested nuclear waste dumping in Nevada. His life included a colorful cast of characters including high-rolling businessmen, casino luminaries, gangsters, movie stars, politicians, and other wheeler and dealers. Director Scott Goldstein combines archival footage with illuminating interviews to tell the stranger than fiction story of a life well spent.
Narrated by Anthony Hopkins with interviews with gangsters, movie stars, the Greenspun family, "Bugsy" Siegel, Richard Nixon, Shimon Peres and Steve Wynn. Special Guest: Director Scott Goldstein, a former KING TV Producer returns to Seattle to present his film. (Full Bio).
