About the Film:

Long admired in geeky circles for her inventions, screen bombshell and pinup Hedy Lamarr finally returns to the spotlight in this biographical documentary. Lamarr had a stranger-than-fiction life: she escaped from Nazi Austria and her arms tycoon husband, led a long career as a film actress called  "the world's most beautiful woman," and invented a frequency-hopping signal transmitter that was the precursor to bluetooth and WiFi. Retrace the little-known double life of a Hollywood legend and science pioneer.

Community Conversation with Rabbi Kate Speizer of Endless Opportunities after the film.

Special Guests:

Denise small

Denise Loder-DeLuca is the first-born child of Austrian actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr – known as " the most beautiful woman in the world " – and British actor John Loder. She was an art major at the University of California, Berkeley in the 60's. After moving to Seattle, she showed her paintings in art galleries while working as an art teacher. She then made quite a name for herself as a regional training artist at Nordstrom in the cosmetic industry for 28 years. Denise is now retired and lives in Seattle.

She is accompanied by Pam Valdez, Vice President of Air Force Services for Boeing Global Services, who is a frequent lecturer on Hedy Lamarr's inventions and will facilitate audience Q&A after the film.
