About The Opening Night Film

Based on the novel by one of Israel’s most important authors, David Grossman, THE ZIGZAG KID follows the adventures of bar mitzvah-aged Nono, who’s being raised by his father, a famous detective. Nono’s free-spirited mother disappeared and died when he was little. To solve the mystery of his mother’s disappearance, Nono teams up with a con man and acquaintance of his father, Felix Glick. Their travels take them to the French Riviera, where Nono enters a world of disguises, crazy pursuits, chansons. The pair crosses paths with the famous singer Lola Ciperola (played by Isabella Rosellini) and Zohara, a mysterious woman whose secrets will forever alter Nono’s life. THE ZIGZAG KID is a playful coming-of-age story that will charm tweens, teens, and adults alike.
