About the Film:

Yoel, a meticulous historian, is in the midst of a widely covered legal battle with a family of influential industrialists on whose land he claims a brutal massacre of Jews took place toward the end of WWII. They are planning to build a real estate project there, but Yoel suspects their aim is to bury and pave over the affair for good. While investigating, he uncovers classified testimony from his mother, a survivor, in which in which she confesses to shocking secrets from her past. Despite his unshakeable commitment to the truth, Yoel conducts a double-investigation, both personal and scientific, even at the expense of ruining his relationships and professional life. He is trapped between silence and denial in this mysterious, high stakes thriller.
