About The Film

Lucas is a young Buenos Aires lawyer with a penchant for cult detective stories, but not romance. He plays second fiddle to his suave brother, serving as his brother’s best man as he marries the perfect spouse. But when Lucas meets Bárbara in a café, he is smitten. She is smart and sexy, and has great taste in literature. After a night of romance, Lucas wakes up to find the money he’s been saving for a new house has disappeared—and Bárbara with it. Not quite able to believe his perfect match is guilty, Lucas takes the case. Using the detective skills gained from his beloved books, he finds himself ensnarled in intrigue and an increasingly twisted plot. This delightful noir features a strong cast that deftly handles mounting lunacy and lively dialogue.
