About The Film

Sun, beach, and a dreamy island should make for the perfect vacation for Yuval and his family. But a chance encounter with a man from Yuval’s past turns the getaway into a series of revelations, family secrets and an unexpected love triangle. SUMMER VACATION screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and has been shortlisted for the Best Short Film category at the 2015 Academy Awards®.

Directors Bios

Tal Granit and Sharon Maymon wrote and directed short films TO KILL A BUMBLEBEE (2009), which won the Best Short Film award at film festivals in Haifa and Valladolid, and MORTGAGE (2006), which won Best Drama at the Jerusalem International Film Festival. Maymon co-wrote the feature film A MATTER OF SIZE (2009), which screened at the Tribeca and Jerusalem film festivals and won three Israeli Academy Awards (Ophirs).
