About Our Closing Night FilmAfter escaping from Europe during WWII, Jacob Kaplan built a quiet life for himself in Uruguay. But now, at age 76, he wonders if he’s really done anything with his life and he seeks adventure. When he begins to suspect the German owner of a local bar of being a runaway Nazi, Mr. Kaplan seizes his moment of glory. Ignoring his family’s concerns about his health, he enlists the help of a well-meaning former policeman to help him investigate. Together, the pair plans to repeat the historic capture of Adolf Eichmann by kidnapping the suspected Nazi and bringing him to justice. MR. KAPLAN was Uruguay’s 2015 submission for an Oscar®.
